Leading Indicators of Economic and Social Mobility
DESCRIPTION
The general relationship between skill development, improved economic and social mobility and quality of life, often motivates philanthropic and public spending on skill development, assessment for youth and evaluation of their opportunities for learning and development. But we lack a detailed understanding of which skills lead to improved economic and social mobility, under what conditions and for whom. To make informed investments and connect the measurement of skills to the ability to measure mobility, there needs to be a better understanding of how we are measuring mobility.
